Solutions Manager
Qualifications:
- Pro-Development: Remarkable leaders
During my three years at Beyondly, I have regularly set development goals with my line manager and identified areas for improvement. I have taken on extra responsibilities to aid in my development. I have also participated in wider team tasks through task forces and contributed to the achievement of full company objectives, as I am always eager to continue learning.
- In my current job, I lead team meetings, present at company Review & Strategy days, and regularly engage with customers. These experiences have boosted my confidence in communicating in different situations. Building my confidence has enabled me to find solutions, enhance efficiency, and feel assured when presenting my ideas.
- Critical thinking has been crucial in helping me develop in my role. In a fast-growing work environment, where we are constantly adapting to changes in the industry and the business, I have had to be inquisitive and provide suggestions and direction to help improve and streamline our processes and offerings.
- Communicating effectively has always been one of my strengths, and it's particularly important in my role. I need to be able to communicate with customers, lead my team, and keep the rest of the team informed. I'm always searching for more effective ways to do this to make sure that everyone has all the necessary information.
Essentially, it’s about ‘having a go’! Don’t be afraid to ask questions- we have so many experts in the business and some great managers to learn from. Challenge old ways of doing things and always seek feedback. It’s good to reflect, and our one-to-one review system provides a good opportunity for this. I always believe that if something interests you or sparks passion, then learn more about it!
Speak with the relevant people and ensure they know what interests you, and what you want to get involved in. Ask lots of questions to ensure you completely understand the requirements for progression/development. Continue to grow your knowledge and look for training and awards opportunities that could help you and the business. Set yourself challenging but achievable goals and always share these with others, as often two (or more) brains are better than one! If you don’t have one already, seek out a mentor that inspires you. Don’t be afraid to have a go at new things, as you never know, in our everchanging business there just might be a new opportunity that arises for you!
