It was confirmed in an EA announcement on 11th February 2025, and subsequently announced by the other UK nations, that to reduce the regulatory burden on producers, there is a delay to the data gathering and reporting obligations of nation of sale data, along with self-managed organisation waste data under pEPR until latest 31st December 2026. 

Data deadlines affected:  

• Collecting and reporting nation of sale data for 2024 and 2025 placed on market data
• Collecting and reporting self-managed organisation waste data for 2024 and 2025 placed on market data  

What does this mean for my company and what do Beyondly recommend? 

While this announcement doesn’t change your legal obligation to collect and report this information, the regulators will not be taking enforcement action against those who do not comply. 

• We would recommend that you continue to collect and report any self-managed organisation waste data where possible to make sure that your systems are correct for future reporting periods.
• For nation of sale reporting, we will keep you informed of any news and updates to make sure you are prepared for the first reports under this regulation in 2027.

Please continue with your data submissions for the July-December 2024 period (or January-December 2024 for small organisations); the upcoming Beyondly reporting deadline for which is 15th February 2025.
