COVID-19: Regulatory guidance for companies starting to produce PPE
Our global law firm partner Squire Patton Boggs have created some useful guidance on the regulatory requirements to comply with for personal protective equipment (PPE) production / importing, which is becoming increasingly relevant for numerous companies during the COVID-19 pandemic
Many businesses are considering adapting production capability away from their usual products and activities (particularly where there may be spare capacity and/ or production lines), specifically geared toward helping deal with the effects of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.
Although there has been removal of some “red tape” by the government, due to the current need for PPE to be made available quickly, there are some regulatory requirements that will still need to be followed.
