Comply Direct WEEE member C-Kore Systems Ltd receive royal recognition

C-Kore Systems Limited supply innovative equipment for Subsea Electrical Testing and have been a member of Comply Direct's WEEE compliance scheme since 2016. This year (2019), C-Kore Systems have received recognition from the Queen for their state of the art work and we're very pleased to share their success

Official press release below from C-Kore Systems Limited regarding their achievement of the Queen's Award.

C-Kore Systems Limited from Escrick, York are one of only 3 businesses in North Yorkshire and of 61 in the UK to win the Queen’s Awards for Enterprise 2019 in the Innovation category, recognising their work in the Subsea industry.

Working from a rural location near York, C-Kore Systems provides state of the art equipment for Subsea Electrical Testing to customers worldwide.

Tim Overfield, Managing Director, commented:

“C-Kore Systems was created from Zetechtics Ltd, the global leaders in subsea control systems, who previously won a similar award in 2003. Traditionally, subsea electrical testing relied on down-lines (extremely long extension cables) connecting test equipment on a ship to the subsea infrastructure, a time consuming, expensive and dangerous process. In 2007 a conversation with a major UK oil operator identified the need for a small, stand-alone subsea measurement tool that could quickly and easily find faults in the underwater electrical network. It was from this conversation that the idea of C-Kore was conceived and developed, compressing all the test equipment into a tiny package that can be used 3,000m underwater. In 2014 C-Kore Systems Ltd was formed and since then the company has grown impressively. C-Kore continues to develop new products to solve the needs of their clients in the global industry. C-Kore’s latest product improves safety and reduces environmental risks whilst decommissioning subsea oil fields such as those in the North Sea."

Tim continued:

“So far 2019 has been a tremendous year for us, having already won the Subsea UK 2019 Innovation and Technology Award (an award which recognises companies who lead the way in Britain’s subsea sector), we are delighted that C-Kore tools are now considered a ‘must-have’ when installing, fault finding and decommissioning oil fields.”

In recognition of their success, members of C-Kore have recently joined other winners at a reception at Buckingham Palace.
